This article looks at 2 key issues. One who is a Minority. Two it analyses various clauses of the draft Communal Violence Bill and asks for clarifications for eg is violence by one minority against another covered under this bill.

This Bill shall further divide and weaken India.

 

According to a key definition on the people who are presumably the focus of targeted violence, “group” means a religious or linguistic minority, in any state in the Union of India, or Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (SC/ST)….”

 

The bill uses the word ‘minority’ as the basis for separating one group from another.  However, the Indian Constitution does not define the word ‘minority’.  The term minority is used in Articles 29 and 30 of the Constitution. The circumstances and the environment today are very different from what existed sixty plus years ago when the constitution was written.

i used to think the problem was with the last incumbent in delhi who was a fan of pakistan. i am amazed the new one has been infected quickly too.

word of advise: you have to get out more, m'boy, and you'll see there's more to india than mustachioed lasses from JNU with heaving (hairy?) bosoms throwing themselves at you just because you are white and/or have a plummy accent.

m-f hussain: yeah, he was an artist all right.

a small-time con artist who managed to pass off his extra-mediocre pieces as something wonderful. 

and a court artist of the CON party, so i guess he was a CON artist too. 

and 'picasso of india'? puleeez, can't you think of a way of even making an analogy without invoking a DWM (dead white male)?

how about calling m-f the 'piss-christ-asso' of india? 

"piss-christ" was a famous 'artistic' piece by one andres serrano, and consisted of a crucifix upside down in a beaker of urine

m-f, after all, was pissing all over things held sacred by others, so it is pretty apt for him.

oh, not to forget that he was a dirty old fart, a hornball salivating at 85 over women young enough to be his great-great-grand-daughters. (and oh, by the way, the women were always of a 'particular community'. latest example: a few weeks ago, he asked vidya balan (33) to pose nude for him.) 

*this* is india's great 'artist'? jeez! have you seen any of his paintings? third-rate garbage, looks like the movie posters the painting of which was his primary occupation until someone 'discovered' him. 

in india these 'discoveries' are always suspicious. there was a famous ias officer whose son was a 'genius painter' whose works everybody paid tens of thousands for. that is, until the ias guy stepped down from office! guess the boy genius wasn't that much of a genius after all :-)

that by slandering Ramdev and the RSS, it will be able to put a lid on
mounting allegations of corruption against the party and the
Government ]

The world is a battlefield. All great gurus and avatars have
incarnated themselves throughout the ages to help the forces of good,
which in India are called ‘dharmic’, against forces which are inimical
to the Evolution of Humanity and which are called ‘adharmic’, or even
asuric.

The concept of the asura in India is very different from the West.
There is no such thing here as the black and white renderings of
American cartoons or the Christian idea of a benevolent god and a
cruel devil. Keen observers of human history may have noticed that
very often asuric forces take on the face of goodness and charity, or
use half truths or semi-lies to appear good. But in the end, the harm
they do should make them recognisable to all.

In this light, we can discard Mr Digvijay Singh: He incarnates the
world of sycophancy, which is a perversion of the Indian bhakti
tradition. Or even Mr Kapil Sibal, a more intelligent man, but who got
so perverted by a lawyer’s mind that lying has become a second nature
to him. History will probably judge Mr Manmohan Singh as a weak man,
who was ready to close his eyes on everything just to stay in power.
