Here's a music video on YouTube which is set to the footage from the animated Yugo Sako Ramayana:

I thought it was quite nice how they choreographed the music to the animation. Good video editing skills, and the music was a nice fusion of classical with a modern beat.
With India's heritage in creative storytelling and mythology, it would be nice to see something beyond the Bollywood film circus which is sinking deeper into self-parody, or the Vikram Seth / Jhumpa Lahiri timepass. Now Indian Graphic Novels may be poised to move into the vacuum, and tap the interest of a large and growing youth market.

thank you san, that was a very nice pointer. i *love* the animated 'prince of light' -- one of the best animation efforts i have ever seen. arresting graphics, well-paced story. i have unfortunately lost my CD of it, but i guess you guys have posted excerpts on youtube.
