This is bad political strategy. They should have said yes and then defeated it in Parliament kicking out the government. That is what any good politician would have done -- bring down their rivals.
Well, that could lead to charges against the BJP of "janus-faced" behavior.
BJP *is* janus-faced. They don't have any permanent friends or permanent enemies. Recall how they dumped the Hindus and embraced the Mullahs and Christists and hate groups like DMK and then proudly declared that they had no permanent friends or permanent enemies, only permanent lust for power?
