Marginal holdings make farming unviable , based on a Planning Commission report. Trust Lallu's man for timing the release of obnoxious reports for the ELM idiots to lap up and repeat ad nauseam, ad infinitum. So, if small land holdings make profitable agriculture difficult, you quit farming completely? And unleash Maoist repression on those who persist with agriculture or refuse to obey the politburo's diktats? Ever heard of Sugar cooperatives in Maharashtra or the Dairy cooperatives in Gujarat that work successfully with small land holdings? So, do the next few 5 year plans entail a long march involving the end of Indian agriculture, mass starvation and ugly industrialisation?
