In Iran's case, it doesn't even have a border with Israel, and yet still vows to wipe it off the Earth. Such crazy fixations seem to be an Islamist trait. The status quo over Iran can't last - either they will go nuclear and destabilize all the Gulf Sheikhdoms around them, or else they will themselves be toppled and return to the Western orbit. Either way, I don't see how the current posturing game can continue for much longer. Things will come to a head sooner or later.sanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11939342428337531046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7813749.post-87012722304536471032010-11-14T01:53:14.530+05:302010-11-14T01:53:14.530+05:30The analysis only partially covers the issue of Ir...The analysis only partially covers the issue of Iran's position in the Middle East. The other major issue is Iran's posturing towards Israel threatening a second holocaust and building internal nuclear strike capabilities. The relationship between Israel and US is strong enough for the US to posture in a dominant way against Iran.
With the absence of a leading figure in Iraq, the Saudis have been quite reluctant in opposing the Iranians as they know that the growth of Iran's Shiite strength causes a regional imbalance of power, hence their tacit support to US and Israel to confront Iran.
Just because India wants to build a pipeline and get natural gas, doesn't mean that the threat is totally invisible.Dirt Diggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01135391085865919386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7813749.post-91207076476704594052010-11-14T01:12:48.788+05:302010-11-14T01:12:48.788+05:30It amazes me to see that in spite of such a long a...It amazes me to see that in spite of such a long and cozy relationship with UK, America has still not learnt from her the art of dividing people when it comes to dominating its international relationships and gaining advantage. That's how Brits rules the world - but America still follows its macho macho head-on full-force taking-ons when dealing with adverse situations. It should be so obvious for America - even for the sake of posturing - to change the way it deals with Iran, and send right signals to Pakis that they are not exclusive. It should have done long time ago.Jatinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02035349891570483786noreply@blogger.com
