But one considers it to be a misfortune when howled by more donkeys.

And I do agree with his characterization: Modern age is that of science. Nobody accepts anything that doesn't meet an intellectual scrutiny.

It has been clear that this article is by an intellectual - as appreciated by the author.

I felt good about Arya Samaja even through the secular episode- until I heard a sermon in an Arya Samaja function near my home. The lady speaker was proud and she attacked the Brahmins and some age old hindu institutions, based on false premises. This 20 mins were unique experiences. One has to give it to the orthodox idiots whose idiosyncrasies had defeated no less than the grand argument of Budhists. And here the supposedly intellectual arya samajis - know nothing about them. Or they misinforming public ?

I am convinced that Arya Samaja is supported by the nationalistic ideas of yesterday - They have asserted one race, one book, prophet in Dayanand. Please find all these in their arguments.

About that donkey stuff, it is the choice of individual...modern age is great. IIT Kanput/Stanford graduates are not mere mortals. But if there is this obstruction of ossified modern world and something called science ( The scientists and Aryasamajais both are silent on science of skull measurement ), it must be then understood...

Forget donkeys, monkeys as great as themselves have been dasas to iswara- many mortal dasas were saying Omkara . Here the Purport: was not independent. The meaning was no separate. Here the Truth was not bonded by the pop sadhus to 'seeking' of his human followers nature or to church and organization. We must view it as natural – it's the human nature to seek and love truth - The Brahmin of old days perhaps knew nature is seeking death and destruction too, It was cruel to dance upon the the pralaya too. One could take Sri Rama name to look at the meaning. The many possibilities of its arrogance.

You could accuse me of being in poor taste...but I had to write the seriously misleading assertions - As swami vivekananda writes in one of his articles our mind is small enough to comprehend certain stuff. On meanings, this was a subject ( search arguments Kumarila Bhatta to understand the complexities of meaning and a subject associated with it), orthodox hindus before arya samajis knew its nature in far more detail.

I may come as a casteist, but Rajeev, my arguments on omkara are from an institution that you have defended it so many times in your blog. And that argument is at least 2000 year old...

My argument is against the arrogance of the intellectuals who are false sadhus misleading people in a supposedly progressive age... The word has a meaning. This statement can easily be twisted by the post modernist declare therefore meaning has a context. The American right could hate the context, Modernist and progressive could interpret the meaning in his own way...The anglo-dravids can interpret the meaning, and I think the orthodox knew the meaning better than the arya samajis. They had a subject on this thing.

Sri Rama.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
